NFL Week 1 is 9/10-9/14 so lines will be up Wed 9/9

College may start on Sat 9/12. Will know more when we know more if we ever know more.

The professional football regular season must consist of at least ten (10) weeks for these NFL SuperContests to be considered valid.
If the regular season is shortened to less than ten (10) weeks, the 2 NFL Contests conducted here at the RX will be cancelled and all
entry fees will be refunded.

Likewise, the college football Division 1A regular season must consist of at least eight (8) weeks for the CFB SuperContest to be
considered valid. If the regular season is shortened to less than eight (8) weeks, the CFB Contest conducted here at the RX will be
cancelled and all entry fees will be refunded.

Truth be told... with the piss poor turnout up to now, which I fully understand, I don't see much hope for competition happening this year. With a couple weeks left before Week 1 kickoff, there needs to be a huge upswing in signups or we throw in the towel.

Totally understand if you must cancel. How many signups do you think are needed to have the NFL pick 5?

I was still interested in getting back in this year. I was just waiting till it got a little closer to the season to make sure something crazy doesn't happen with the season (covid reasons). Maybe others are doing the same?

Probably so. I would not be surprised if 25 signed up in the last couple days ... that would be 35 total. Seems reasonable even if the pot is more modest this year.

Now with College if the Big Ten decides to Play starting with Thanksgiving, will that extend the contest? Thanks, College is the one I question the most NFL I will jump in

Joh, looks like 12 sign ups so far for nfl. Even if we only got 3 more signups, that's a pot of $3000. If that happens, how about just giving a first place of 2k and a second place of 1k. While its not ideal, that gives cash to 2 of 15 ... a pretty good attempt for all or if you get 20, give out 2400, 1200, 400 for 3 places. Thoughts?

I just signed up for the NFL pick 5.

I played last year but I didn’t see my name under the options to select so I had to re enter it.

I’ll get my money over tomorrow. I’m sure a bunch of people are going to sign up last minute.

To be honest I wasn’t expecting online pools to be hurt to bad I thought maybe half the numbers compared to usual. It’s my local football pools at bars that are really taking the worst of it. You have the NFL season to worry about it playing all the way through and then on top of that you have to go into the bar, wear a mask everytime, put yourself at potential risk to drop off a football sheet and on and on.

Anyways I think these pools will get a good push in the final 2 weeks.
